SOL 3-6-2020

My husband and I went to my sister’s place last night for dinner and a movie.  The home they bought last year has a movie room in the basement and it is fun to get together and watch an old favorite or something new.

We asked if they would be up to renting Parasite knowing it was a movie with subtitles we figured it would be great to watch it on a bigger screen where we could actually read the words!

I don’t think I’ve ever watched a movie in the genre of Parasite.

On the way home my husband wondered aloud if he would find himself revisiting memories and scenes of it over the next few days like one does with movies.

This morning I can attest to the fact that there is one scene I keep seeing over and over in my head.  It’s the one where the main character dad is hiding under the table and listening to his boss describe the smell of him as something like a cooked radish; it’s such a pivotal moment in the film.

I don’t really know what that smell is but somehow I do.
