I haven’t read the books but I have heard plenty about what is all the rage right now – the 
Konmari method of organizing. In the end it is still tidying up, paring down, decluttering.
I think part of the reason people are so drawn to these messages is because there is so much in our lives we have no power to discard, dismiss or distance ourselves from.
If I could gather before my senses only that which sparks joy, my days would be filled with nature, music, art, poetry, hopeful people and knitting.

I haven’t read the book yet either but know people who have and swear by this method of decluttering.

My aunt bought me that book for Christmas, and I am eager to dive in. I did a full sweep of my house in October and rid myself of a ton. But I don’t want it to be all about getting rid – I want it to be about keeping and treasuring and finding joy in what I have.
